Available Adults

We are not asking a set price for a rehoming fee.  We want them to be in homes that are a good fit for them, so we would be happy with whatever you can give and feel is fair.

Our available adults have been started on potty training.  None of them will be 100% trained in a new home.  Everyone has their own schedule, and it will take time for the dog to get used to you and what you expect.

Some of these dogs would not be considered "up-to-date" on vaccines.  Their risk of contracting anything at our house is extremely low.  I do all the grooming, so they don't really go anywhere with a lot of other dogs.  Since that risk is so low, I feel it's healthier to give them as few vaccines as possible.  I am happy to bring them to my vet if you would like to pay for having them done there.

I am most interested in finding a home with a successful outcome for both the dog and the people.  Each of these dogs will be wonderful companions once they are used to their new environment and their new families.  Don't expect everything to go smoothly at first.  Since they are older, they aren't as flexible as puppies, and adjusting will take time.

Coy - On Hold for Kim

10/16/22

Coy was at a guardian home for about a year, but he never adjusted to the husband, so he's now back here.  I'm not planning on using him for breeding again, so he's in need of a pet home.

Coy loves kids and me, but men aren't usually his favorite.  He gets along pretty well with our other dogs, big and small.  We're looking for a home where Coy will feel comfortable and relaxed.

As for house training, he's generally pretty good about keeping a crate dry.  I'd recommend having him wear a belly band until he's in a routine with potty training at his new home.  He does tend to piddle when he's anxious.

Basically, it is going to take a while for Coy to trust new people and be comfortable in a new environment.  Once he trusts you, he'll be fine, but it's definitely going to take time and patience.  Someone experienced with dogs (and interpreting their body language) is a necessity with this little guy.

Maggie

Grace & Philo

4/30/20

Maggie has had three litters of puppies here.  However, her deliveries were difficult, with her last resulting in a C-section and two puppies that didn't make it.  I decided to have her spayed at that time.

Maggie is generally a friendly, happy girl when she is comfortable in her environment.  However, she was rehomed about a year ago and didn't adjust well, so she ended up back here.  I think she would have done better if there were either kids or another doggy companion for her.

Maggie is kind of hit-and-miss with her potty training skills.  She goes through periods of smart and then not-so-smart with keeping her crate dry.  So, someone who has time and patience to nail down the training in that area is a necessity.

Daisy Beth

Diamond & Coy

12/15/23

Daisy Beth is generally a sweet, happy little girl.  She's absolutely adorable and has a friendly, spunky personality.  She's not the best at keeping her crate dry, so she needs someone who can let her out in the morning right when she wakes up and who can let her go potty throughout the day.
